Do chiropractors do the same thing with every patient?
No, There is probably no field of medicine that offers as many different procedure’s as chiropractic care offers you. Dr Rubin and our other Doctors spend quite a bit of time with each patient to evaluate your bodies unique spinal problem and only then develops a customized way of treating your problem. Chiropractic care is cumulative and each procedure builds on the one before the last treatment.
Having said this to be clear in many cases only one or two appointments will be all you need, but we do recommend that many patients come in for a tuneup if you will, from time to time. Every patient is different and no two spines are the same. The spine if that is your problem, is so complex and what is happening with one person is very different than someone else.
Should you see a Chiropractor if you’ve had back surgery?
As a rule yes, most patients who have had a spinal surgery preformed will usually experience the same symptoms within a few months or a year. Chiropractors can can in many cases prevent the need for back and neck surgeries. If you’re having low back pain or neck pain, you should always consult with a chiropractor before considering back surgery. You’ll be amazed at the non invasive treatments that are available and they’re very effective.
Will stretching or exercise cure my aching back?
If you’re experiencing pain in your back or neck it’s always a wise choice to have it checked out by a professional. In many cases a chiropractic adjustment applied to a specific area of your spine will correctly and accurately solve your problem. If your back or neck is hurting because it’s unstable, stretching can make your spine even more unstable, and painful.
What is subluxation?
Subluxation is a slight misalignment of the vertebrae, regarded in chiropractic, as the cause of many health problems. This is a good example of why periodic visits to a Chiropractor are helpful, because they promote good spine health.
Can my children benefit from a visit to the chiropractor?
Many childhood health health issues associated with the spine in children. Health problems can prevented by a visit to a chiropractor, especially if your child is active in sports. Your children will will benefit because of chiropractic adjustments.
How do visits to the chiropractor benefit me?

Can I go to the chiropractor when I’m pregnant?
Chiropractic adjustments will make your pregnancy and delivery much easier. The chiropractor will adjust treatments to your size, weight, age, and condition of health.
What causes the popping sounds while being adjusted?
Adjustments can create a popping”sound, which is caused by gas rushing in to fill the partial vacuum created when the joints are slightly separated. This sound is painless and totally harmless.

What is chiropractic care?

What is the difference between a chiropractor and an osteopath?
Chiropractors base their care on the detection correction, and prevention of vertebral subluxations and spinal misalignment’s, to improve nerve system functions and reduce nerve interference. Osteopaths use drugs, surgery, and other traditional medical therapies.
How much education do chiropractic doctors receive?
Chiropractic education and medical education are similar in many respects and different in others because chiropractors do not prescribe drugs or perform surgery. Medical doctors don’t correct vertebral subluxations. After graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) Degree, each candidate must pass a four part National Board Examinations. Then, doctors apply to a governmental or professional licensing board and pass a still more difficult test before being granted a License to practice.
